A pair of severed hands and some feet have been found underneath the famous Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, one day after a decapitated human head was discovered by dog walkers, The Telegraph reports.
Cadaver dogs have been scouring the 4,200-acre Griffith Park in the hope of finding the man’s body, after two female hikers spotted a head in a plastic bag.
Detectives said they believed the feet and hands were removed from the same body, believed to be that of an Armenian American man in his 40s or 50s.
After the discovery of the head, a cadaver dog found one of the hands in a bush and the other hand was found by a crime scene investigator a few hours later.
The feet were discovered half-a-mile from the Hollywood sign.
Police believe the head had recently been disposed of due to the absence of animal bites and decay. The cause or circumstances of the death are unknown.
The Los Angeles County coroner is looking at dental records to try and identify the victim.
