At the last Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) meeting, former member of the Swedish parliament, former co-rapporteur for Armenia, current president of the EU’s Platform of European Memory and Conscience Göran Lindblad (pictured) accused head of Armenia’s delegation to PACE Davit Harutyunyan in attempting to bribe him, reports local daily Joghovurd.
Citing its source, the paper reports that Lindblad accused Harutyunyan of the act in his presence, saying that the Armenian MP attempted to bribe so that he would begin lobbying for Armenia.
On Tuesday, Joghovurd attempted to call Harutyunyan for comments; however, the latter, explaining that he was busy, hung up without listening to the question.
