There won’t be any entrepreneurs in the Republican Party of Armenia’s proportional ballot in the 2012 parliamentary elections, promised RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, following a question and answer period with government members in Armenia’s National Assembly yesterday.
On the matter of a majority system in the elections, the prime minister said:
“I think that at this time it’s still too early to respond to this question. We don’t know yet who will be nominated in which [electoral] district, because that might be the wish of not only the Republican Party of Armenia, but also Republican citizens, and within the boundaries of the law they can be nominated. This is why it’s premature to give political assessments to those questions.”
Tigran Sargsyan also mentioned that he doesn’t consider it important who will be selected first or second in the proportional party list.
