Car Catches Fire Outside Armenia’s Parliament

Around 2:30 pm today, an Opel parked outside the National Assembly gates caught fire. Witnesses told Epress.am that first the engine then the interior of the vehicle caught fire. The car was almost completely burned by the time firefighters arrived on scene.

The incident provoked a traffic jam on Baghramyan Ave., which is also where the presidential residence and several foreign embassies are situated.

There were no casualties.
