Former IBF middleweight belt–holder, German boxer of Armenian descent Arthur Abraham (33-3, 27 KOs) will challenge super middleweight Piotr Wilczewski (30-2, 10 KOs) for the WBO’s European title. WBO #2 and WBA/IBF #4 Abraham, who stopped Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias on Jan. 14, will fight next in Kiel, Germany, on Mar. 31.
The winner of the Abraham-Wilczewski will take on the winner of the April 14th WBO championship showdown between reigning titleholder Robert Stieglitz (41-2, 23 KOs) and Denmark’s Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33 KOs). Rising Polish cruiserweight star Mateusz Masternak (25-0, 19 KOs), who has recently been signed by Sauerland Event, will be featured on the undercard, reports Boxing Scene.
