The Armenian National Congress’ first rally this year is currently underway at Liberty Square in Yerevan, where 4 years ago today after 10 days of peaceful protests, national police and military forces were called in to disperse demonstrators and those camped out overnight. The violent crackdown on Mar. 1–2, 2008, resulted in the deaths of 10 people. Till today, the circumstances surrounding these deaths remain unsolved.
