Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan at an event dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Rule of Law (Orinats Yerkir, or OEK) party on Tuesday said that OEK has been a reliable partner with whom it is possible to overcome many difficulties. According to a statement published on the president’s official website, Sargsyan said the party, which is a junior member of the ruling coalition that includes the Prosperous Armenia Party and Sargsyan’s Republican Party of Armenia, became established and in a short time began to have an active role in the country’s political life.
“Orinats Yerkir has great potential and will once again be able to declare itself with dignity, proving that with its steadfast and targeted activities, it can solve its problems,” said Sargsyan, expressing confidence that OEK members will continue to stand by their leader, who will take them toward a “good Armenia.”
“Our aim is to have a good Armenia and we are going to build this better Armenia also with your active participation. Once again I heartily congratulate you and wish you success,” he said at the event held at the Karen Demirchyan Sport and Concert Complex, where the ruling coalition’s other party, the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), held its pre-election congress just days earlier.
It’s important to note that Sargsyan did not give a speech at the BHK congress.
