Russia Might Ban Dried Fruits from Azerbaijan

Russia might prohibit the supply of dried fruits from Azerbaijan. Specialists have found harmful pests in several batches of dried fruits, RSN reports.

Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance urged colleagues from Azerbaijan to eliminate all violations. Otherwise, Russia might take additional protective measures and refuse to import such products.

The sanctions may also apply to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. These three countries are Russia’s main suppliers of dried fruits and nuts.
