European Investment Bank to Assist in Modernizing Armenia Border Checkpoints

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan convened a meeting today to discuss modernizing the border checkpoints at the Armenian towns of Bagratashen, Bavra and Gogavan along the Georgian border.

RA Deputy Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan reported progress in implementing the program. He stated that the European Investment Bank has approved a 30.8 million EUR loan to that effect. Note, the total cost of the project is estimated at 60 million EUR.

The prime minister told the heads of corresponding agencies to have the program implemented in accordance with the proposed timetable.
