An airplane acquired by the unrecognized Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh will be technically ready to carry out flights from the Stepanakert Airport in 15 days, head of Nagorno-Karabakh's Civil Aviation Department Dmitry Adbashyan informed a correspondent with local daily Haykakan Zhamanak, adding that the airport hs long been ready for incoming and outgoing flights.
According to Adbashyan, the plane is currently undergoing a maintenance inspection carried out by the manufacturer. Asked will the much-anticipated flight really take place in 15 days, the Civil Aviation Department chief avoided responding, saying that he is responsible only for technical matters. The Karabakh authorities, however, said that it's unlikely for the plane to take-off in 15 to 20 days; the matter has to be discussed and if there's a decision, it will be made public.
