Iran Might Make New Offer to Armenia on Sale of Gas: Azatutyun

The reduction or removal of international sanctions against Tehran will foster deepening economic relations between Armenia and Iran, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Raiesi told RFE/RL's Armenian service (Azatutyun) [AM].

Asked whether, considering the opening up of the Iranian economy in the international market, Iran will make new proposals to Armenia regarding the sale of natural gas, Ambassador Raiesi said: "It's possible. It depends on the negotiations. This issue might be discussed at the meeting of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission to be held in Tehran in May."
