Iranian Tourists Rescue Armenian Dram from Depreciation

The flow of Iranian tourists arriving in Yerevan to celebrate Nowruz on March 21 in Armenia has already begun and was immediately reflected in the currency market, reports local daily Haykakan Zhamanak.

The dram ceased depreciating on March 19 and no transactions were concluded at the exchange.The Iranian tourists' effect on the currency will be felt in the coming 2–3 weeks, concludes the newspaper.
