On July 1, the price of natural gas will increase by 4% in the Russian Federation, reports local daily Haykakan Zhamanak. The newspaper reports that the price of the gas supplied to Armenia depends on the gas tarrif in Russia's Orenburg Oblast, so it will lead also to a rise in the price of gas in Armenia.
RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsissyan yesterday, however, said they have received no notice from the Russian side regarding a gas price hike.
Currently, Armenia gets gas at the border for $189, and in case of increase it might reach $200, reports the Armenian paper.
