Two young men threw eggs at activist Vardges Gaspari (pictured) at around 6:15 pm on April 9 when he was protesting outside Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's house on Proshyan Street. Some time later, another young man approached Gaspari, seized and tore the sign he was holding. Gaspari brought out a new sign, which the youth were unable to pry from him, but during the scuffle that ensued the assailants stole his earphones.
Gaspari had held a protest outside Sargsyan's home also on the morning of April 9, demanding the ban on his personal accounts in VTB Bank be lifted.
Speaking to Epress.am, Gaspari said he doesn't know the reason for the ban. The bank advised him to contact the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the RA Ministry of Justice. He submitted a written appeal to the bank, asking based on what grounds the bank has blocked access to his accounts.
Updated at 12:10 pm on the same day: Gaspari submitted a written appeal not to the state agency, but to the bank, asking for information on the reason for the ban, as he believes it is the bank that should provide this information to its customers.
