Former Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia (RA) Hrayr Tovmasyan (pictured) turned down the position of Chief of Staff of the RA National Assembly, reports local daily Haykakan Zhamanak.
"Tovmasyan relinquished being assigned to the National Assembly, saying that he won't go somewhere where they are not waiting for him. As for who might be appointed to that position — it's still not decided. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of Staff Erik Minasyan yesterday was appointed as acting official," reports the paper.
According to another daily paper, Zhoghovurd, the option of the secondment of Tovmasyan to the Constitutional Court is being discussed. The newspaper recalls that RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, mentioning at the justice ministry Tovmasyan's future appointment, said that he is a good employee and his services will definitely be used.
