Armenian Citizens Increasingly Travel to Turkey

From January to March of  this year, 11,150 citizens of the Republic of Armenia travelled to Turkey — almost 4% higher than the same period last year (10,736 Armenian citizens), reports the press service of Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. 

According to statistics of the first quarter of 2014, in March alone, 4,700 Armenians visited Turkey — compared to 4,100 in 2013 and 3,900 in 2012. 

Also visiting Turkey from January to March this year were 122,408 citizens of Georgia and 49,300 citizens of Azerbaijan. 

Note, the number of people going to Turkey from Armenia increases in the summer, when the tourism season opens in Antalya. Between June–August 2013, visiting Turkey were 28,311 Armenian citizens.
