Russia selling Azerbaijan tanks has nothing to do with politics, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin told local daily 168 Zham.
"It's a commercial issue; there's no politics here. And attention should not be drawn to these issues. So…," he said. Note he said the same thing to Hetq.am yesterday.
The newspaper reports that Volynkin probably forgot statements he and other officials of the country he represents made that Armenia cannot have military ties with Russia, deepening economic relations with Europe. "According to the Russians, that was politics, but in their [this] case, it's purely commerce," reports the paper.
