Armenian Minister Warns OSCE Ambassador of ‘Serious Consequences’ for Azerbaijan

After the deaths of two Armenian soldiers from shots fired yesterday from Nakhichevan on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan invited Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk to a meeting this morning.

At the meeting, the Armenian defense minister urged the ambassador to take steps within his powers to diffuse the tension on the Line of Contact, since aggravation of the current situation is likely to have serious consequences for the Azerbaijani side, reads the press statement [AM] issued by the RA Ministry of Defense. 

"The Ambassador express his concern and promised to take steps to diffuse the situation on the Line of Contact," reports the defense ministry.
