Russia intends to continue to provide assistance in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, said Russian President Vladimir Putin to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in a phone conversation, according to a statement on the official Kremlin website.
The presidents of the two countries also "stressed the importance of the high level of Russian-Azerbaijani relations and spoke in favor of its further development."
"In an exchange of views on current issues on the regional agenda, settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also discussed. The Russian side confirmed its readiness to provide all possible assistance in finding a peaceful solution," reads the official statement.
