No House Unscathed from Shelling on Armenian Village of Chinari: Mayor

There's no house in the village of Chinari in Tavush marz (province) that hasn't been damaged as a result of the recent shelling from the Azerbaijani side, village mayor Samvel Saghoyan informed Epress.am today. According to him, the shelling began on June 21 and have continued daily with the exception of July 7 and 8. Enemy shots were fired on Chinari for several hours again last night.

"Fortunately and miraculously, no one has been injured — only houses have been destroyed, windows smashed. People aren't leaving their homes, [the shelling] isn't allowing us to work," he said.

According to Saghoyan, the shelling occurs mainly in the evening.

Recall, also under fire recently were the villages of Movses, Aygepar, and Nerkin Karmiraghbyur in Tavush.
