Armenia must reanalyze its decision to enter the Eurasian Economic Union, because the situation during this past year has changed, currently Russia is under sanctions, said MP Alexander Arzumanyan during a meeting with journalists.
According to him, signing a contract with Russia today would mean Armenia is choosing to die with Russia.
In regards to, the customs checkpoints on Karabakh’s borders, the MP is confident that if such a condition is placed, then Armenia would have to propose checkpoints between Russia and Crimea, because both Belarus and Kazakhstan, who are members of the EEU, have not recognized Crimea. According to Arzumanyan, there is a good opportunity for Armenia to renegotiate its membership with Russia.
