Russia does not plan to intervene with customs activities on the border of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Today, on October 24, Russia’s Customs Service Director, Andrey Belyaninov, told today, October 24, Regnum News Agency reports.
When asked if the issue of customs workers present on the Armenian – Nagorno-Karabakh border was solved, Belyaninov answered, “We don’t expect it anytime soon… recently, a representative was assigned to Armenia. He will leave for Armenia soon. He will, most likely, visit the border, but we are not planning to intervene with the work of Armenia’s customs service. Today, the biggest issue is language. The working language of the customs union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan is Russian, while in Armenia they use Armenian.”
