The Armenian-Russian strategic alliance will not suffer from attempts of politicizing the Gyumri tragedy, said Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, reports TASS news agency.
“We see attempts to politicize the current situation. They are neither coming from the Armenian nor the Russian leaderships. Those who wish to use this tragedy with the intention of obtaining geographic advantages are not little in number. That is disgusting and unacceptable. That doesn’t suit the Armenian people, which, I’m confident, will never be prone to such provocations. I’m convinced that the Armenian-Russian strategic alliance will not suffer. We are mourning with Armenia and we will do everything in order for the crime not be left unpunished, and for the guilty be punished severely. We will do everything in order for such events not be repeated in the future,” assured Lavrov.
