Nubarashen Inmate Dead of Reported Suicide

A 40-year-old inmate held in the Nubarashen jail in Yerevan reportedly committed suicide Tuesday afternoon in his cell by hanging, Gor Ghlechyan, head of the RA Justice Ministry's Penitentiary Department, told Epress.am Wednesday.

“His cellmates and later doctors rushed to save his life, but to no avail,” the official said. Investigation is currently underway to determine the details of the incident.
