Armenian Soldier Killed by Azeri Fire, Officials Say

Sanasar M Grigoryan, a 27-year-old Armenian contract serviceman, was fatally wounded at around midday on October 11 by fire from the Azerbaijani side at a military unit of the Nagorno Karabakh (NKR) Defense Army deployed in the eastern direction of the line of contact between NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces, the NKR defense ministry reported Tuesday.

NKR military authorities' statement gave no further details about the incident, saying only that an investigation has been launched in relation to the soldier’s death.
