Russian Soldier Reportedly Stabbed in Gyumri

A 24-year-old serviceman of the Russian military base in Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri was hospitalized Thursday morning after reportedly being stabbed during an argument with strangers at the city’s Shirakatsi and Marmarashen intersection, News.am writes, citing police sources.

The website’s sources did not disclose the name of the soldier, saying only that he is a citizen of Russia. Police “are taking all necessary measures” to identify and locate the alleged suspects, they added.
