Contract Soldier Wounded in Cross-Border Shooting

A contract soldier was wounded in a cross-border shooting at the border of Noyemberyan region and Azerbaijan on March 27, 2020. The news is confirmed by MoD. The Ministry also asserts that the Azerbaijanian armed forces opened targeted fire on Armenian posts to which the Armenian army responded in order to stop the fire.

Earlier today, at around 12:00 a similar narrative was released by the Azerbaijanian armed forces, blaming Armenia for opening fire from the posts of Baghanis (Noyemberyan region).

The wounds of the soldier do not pose a threat to his life, confirmed MoD spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan.
