Hail Destroys Crops in Syunik, Lori Marzes in Armenia

As a result of hail that fell on Jun. 5 from 9 to 9:30 pm, fruit orchards and vegetable gardens (about 4.5 hectares) in the village of Khnatsakh in Armenia’s Syunik marz (province) were ruined, reports the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Emergency Channel information center.

Hail also destroyed cultivated land in the villages of Lori Berd (fortress), Lejan and Amrakits in Lori marz on the same day between 4 and 4:30 pm. The extent of the damage is being confirmed.
