Tigran Karapetyan to Join Republican Party of Armenia: Local Paper Surmises

People’s Party leader Tigran Karapetyan (pictured) is preparing to join the Republican Party of Armenia so that he will acquire parliamentary mandates, reports local daily Joghovurd, citing its sources.

The paper spoke with Karapetyan, who after hearing the question, laughed, then said:

“Wherever you heard this from, confirm it with them. But I’m not joining anyone; I haven’t consulted with anyone; I haven’t seen anyone. If something happens. I’ll make a statement and definitely let you know.”
