The group Solidarity with Azerbaijan established by Azerbaijanis living in Turkey held a protest outside the Iranian embassy in Ankara on Feb. 4.
As reported earlier, protestors were opposing Iran’s interference in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs, as well as Iran’s cooperation with Armenia and the violation of rights of Azerbaijanis living in Iran.
Around 100 people participated in the demonstration, holding Azerbaijan and Turkey flags and chanting, “Karabakh belongs to Turks!”, “Iran, hands off Azerbaijan!”, Iran, stop supporting Armenia!”, “Tabriz, Baku, Ankara: strength in unity”, “Long live a free and secular Azerbaijan” and “Right of South Azerbaijanis to be taught in their native tongue.”
Demonstrators then placed a funeral wreath in front of the embassy with the inscription “Iranian-Armenian Brotherhood,” reports ANS Press.
