Pipe Bringing Water to Vanadzor, Nearby Villages Damaged

The RA Ministry of Emergency Situations received news at 8:50 pm on Feb. 17 that the Novoseltsevo water pipe 14 km from the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway in Lori marz (province) has been damaged.

Emergency workers who arrived on scene discovered that the one-meter diameter Novoseltsevo water pipe, which brings water to 60% of Vanadzor’s population and 13 of the nearby villages, was damaged at around 6:30 pm, which caused the highway to be flooded and difficult to pass.

Lori Water Sewage CJSC yesterday cut off the water while the pipe was being repaired and the highway cleared (until 10:30 pm).

According to the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, work was to have resumed this morning.
