As reported on Tuesday by Armenia's health ministry, the swine flu virus has killed the 7th person in the country. In the same statement ministry officials claim “the disease has started to subside.”
“Large-scale treatment and prevention measures of acute respiratory infections are underway; improvement has been recorded in the data presented by the ministry at the [January 11] news conference,” authorities said, claiming that as of 10 am January 12 the incidence of pneumonia has declined among Armenia's population, including pregnant women.
“The number of patients in intensive care has also decreased, while the rate of acute respiratory infections among children remains unchanged,” they added.
In the last two sentences of the statement the ministry reported: “The 7th death has been recorded. Diagnosis and other details will become clear after an examination.”
