Street Vendors Now Speaking to Staff at Armenian President’s Residence

Street vendors protesting Yerevan mayor’s ban on street trade are now gathered at the Armenian president’s residence on Baghramyan Ave.

When they arrived in front of the president’s residence, protestors were told by police to stand on the opposite side of the street; however, they declined. At that point, a member of the presidential staff stepped out and invited the 15 protestors into the reception area and told to wait while four individuals among them were invited to come speak to a member of the presidential staff.
