Oman’s Ambassador to Armenia Presented his Credentials to Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Armenia Muhammad Auad Arb al-Rahman al Hasan (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, according to a press release issued by the president’s office today.

Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence that during his tenure relations between the two states and two friendly peoples would strengthen and develop. According to Sargsyan, there are excellent prerequisites and a solid historical base to achieve such relations.

“I am sure that you know of the Armenian people’s great respect for the Arab people. More than once, the Arab people supported our people in difficult times. After the Genocide perpetrated in Ottoman Turkey, the Arab people warmly received a large part of our nation and created conditions for our people to preserve their national identity and develop,” said the Armenian leader.

The parties also emphasized the importance of cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
