Deputy Head of RA Police Artur Osikyan, speaking about police reforms with journalists in Yerevan today, refused to respond to certain questions by journalists, saying such questions don’t refer to reforms and advised the press to direct their questions to the press and public relations department of the police force.
One of the questions posed to him which the police representative did not want to respond to was regarding former head of RA Police Criminal Investigations Department Hovhannes Tamamyan.
Osikyan was also asked whether police have information that after the Armavir mayoral elections, Armavir’s police chief assaulted one of the mayoral candidates or not.
And the last question which Osikyan did not respond to: why police officers don’t allow Heritage Party leader Raffi Hovannisian to erect a tent in Liberty Square (where the party leader has been camped out since Mar. 15) and why officers recently broke the poles of the party’s canopy.
