Local police came across a fight in the Russian town of Pavlovsk near St. Petersburg at around 5 am on Jul. 11. According to the official version of events, seeing the police, the three men flew in different directions, leaving behind a man on the ground with apparent brain injuries. Police called an ambulance while pursuing the assailants, whom they caught and who turned out to be 28–30 year old Armenians.
The 32-year-old victim was taken to hospital with a closed cranial fracture and a brain concussion. His condition is considered to be stable.
