Third Meeting of Opposition, Ruling Coalition Delegates Wraps Up (PHOTOS)

The third meeting between opposition and ruling coalition delegates took place Thursday at the RA Government Guest House in Yerevan.

Ruling coalition representatives had arrived quite early, while the five delegates representing the Armenian National Congress (HAK) arrived a few minutes late.

Despite the unbearable heat, delegates had arrived in suits — only Naira Zohrabyan, as the sole female in the group, was wearing attire more suitable to the weather: a summer dress.

Note, it was also quite hot in the room where the negotiations were taking place, as there was neither an air conditioner nor an air ventilation system. Only during the talks was a single fan brought in to relieve delegates. After the meeting, the parties stated that they had removed their suit jackets during the meeting, as it was so unbearably hot.

After the meeting, the first to leave the room were the ruling coalition members. All of the opposition delegates save for Davit Shahnazaryan presented themselves to the media.

Felix Khachatryan told Epress.am that “Shahnazaryan was very hot” and quickly exited from another door. First, head of the ruling coalition delegation Davit Harutyunyan spoke to journalists, then head of the opposition delegation Levon Zurabyan.

When Zurabyan was responding to journalists’ questions, members of the ruling coalition and HAK were speaking with each other out in the hall.
