There was a healthy trend in the WikiLeaks findings in that society and the media were able see what diplomats are talking about behind the scenes, said former US Ambassador to Armenia John Marshall Evans, who was the invited guest at today’s discussion in the series “One Hundred Questions, One Hundred Answers” organized by the Civilitas Foundation.
“It’s like opening the curtains. I find that diplomats from different countries can talk, can have private correspondence, that’s normal — just like family members can have separate conversations with each other,” he said.
Evans noted that this is the way of American diplomacy: to present events through facts, then provide your own comments.
Note, this is the model that was used in particular in the structure of the leaked cables.
