Vice-chair of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), MP Galust Sahakyan doesn’t believe that there’s a single Republican who has a bad opinion about second president of Armenia Robert Kocharian.
HHK was at force supporting Kocharian at one time, he said, speaking to journalists in Yerevan today.
“We believe that he made a great contribution to state-building.
“They make him out to be such a bugaboo,” he said, addressing media reports of Kocharian’s possible return to active politics.
Nevertheless, Sahakyan continued, he “doesn’t see active team involvement” in Kocharian ahead of the 2012 parliamentary elections in Armenia.
“I’m not coming from the second president’s side; I don’t know if he will show greater vigor at the presidential elections or not. To each his own,” said the Republican MP.
