After Emmy’s Defeat, Armenian Artists Afraid of Participating in Eurovision

Armenian contestant Emmy’s defeat in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest has scared Armenian pop stars, reports local daily Hraparak. The paper claims that no one dares to agree to represent Armenia in next year’s Eurovision.

Though representatives of Armenia’s Public Television, as a rule, are keeping mum on next year’s Eurovision participation and the candidate’s selection, saying that nothing has yet been decided, it is known that the stars who previously, one after the other, were scrambling for the opportunity are now refusing the offer to compete in Eurovision, writes Hraparak.

Recall, next year’s song contest will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on May 22, 24 and 26 (the first and second semi-finals followed by the grand final).
