HHK, Opposition MPs who Insulted Each Other Last Week, Greeted Each Other Warmly This Week

The warm greetings exchanged by Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) MP Arakel Movisyan and Heritage Party MP Armen Martirosyan yesterday amazed even the HHK MPs, reports local daily Haykakan Jamanak (“Armenian Times”).

“I wouldn’t have expected it from Armen,” said one HHK MP.

According to the paper, the opposition MP was standing with a group of MPs when Movsisyan approached. These two lawmakers, who just last week had called each other “animals,” on Tuesday shook hands. Martirosyan with a broad smile on his face asked Movsisyan how he is and Movsisyan, in turn, with a wide smile on his face, responded, I’m well, how are you?

Asked whether it’s normal that after the HHK MP’s behavior in parliament, Martirosyan would greet him this way, Heritage Party MP Larisa Alaverdyan said, “Ask Armen — I am not knowledgeable in male relations.”
