“I’ve always been a proponent of public diplomacy in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Today culture can do much in this issue. We, along with esteemed [Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia] Polad Bülbüloğlu, have already understood this. Despite Armenia’s resistance to t his issue, I believe this issue shouldn’t be stopped. After all, our future generations should live in peace and tranquility,” said Armenia’s former ambassador to Russia and now CIS Interstate Humanitarian Fund Cooperation Executive Director Armen Smbatyan.
“First of all, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh have to understand this. Unfortunately, our societies are not ready to live together, but we must fight. Bloodshed will lead to no good. Our children are dying. If we can do something, we are obliged to do it, no matter the aggression.
“Let’s do everything to end this nightmare. The only possible way to solve the Karabakh conflict is to establish peace in the name of a prosperous Karabakh, where our nations will live together,” he said.
