Artist Nathan Wyburn’s fame is spreading — thanks to a talent for working with toast and Marmite, Daily Mail Online reports.
This modern day Dough Vinci spurns the brush and canvas for nothing more than a pair of toasters and a simple dinner knife.
Nathan, 22, a fine arts student at Cardiff University, says he was initially inspired by The X Factor supremo Simon Cowell because people either “love or loathe” him — just like Marmite.
Since then, he has created a birthday portrait of the Queen as well as singer Amy Winehouse, who died this year, and fellow artist Rolf Harris.
The amazingly detailed Nativity scene, created for Christmas, is among his latest works.
The only downside? He has lost his taste for eating Marmite. “I think I’ve gone a bit off it from using it so much,” he says.
