An auction has been declared at Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law party, or OEK): according to custom, those who want to be in parliament have to secure parliamentary mandates “through fair sweat”; that is, pay up, reports local daily Yerkir.
According to the newspaper, this doesn’t refer to all deputies. For example, head of the OEK faction Heghine Bisharyan won’t pay: she, of course, will be in the OEK’s proportional list at a more expensive cost — on her shoulders will be the obligation to defend OEK’s rating.
The newspaper’s source close to Orinats Yerkir insist that party leader Artur Baghdasaryan has already been informed that OEK won’t be getting more than 7 seats in parliament and now he’s thinking how he’ll divvy up these 7 seats, when he promised more to many.
