Witnesses Investigated in Case of Police Officer Charged with Weapons Theft

Since Mar. 3, 2012, Armenia’s Special Investigation Service (SIS) has been investigating a criminal case in which RA Police Forces Deputy Commander Vanik Manukyan is charged with weapons and ammunition theft.

The precautionary measure applied to Manukyan on Mar. 6 was pre-trial detainment.

According to the SIS, there are no other suspects or accused in the case.

Several witnesses, who are not named, have been and are being questioned in connection with the case.
