Shahen Harutyunyan, the son of Shant Harutyunyan, who was arrested on Nov. 5 on charges of "violence against a representative of the authorities" (which has since been changed), today was charged under Article 258 Section 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia: "hooliganism committed with a weapon or another item used as a weapon" — the same charge as his father.
Shahen's mother, Ruzanna Badalyan, conveyed this news to ArmTimes.com [AM], the online version of local daily Haykakan Zhamanak. According to her, at the time the original article was published, a confrontation between Shahen and the victim was taking place at the main investigative division of the police.
Badalyan said this is tied to the Nov. 5 clashes on Mashtots Avenue, but as for who was the victim, she doesn't know.
