Armenia's National Assembly at its second reading today adopted a bill to create a Joint Investigation Committee — with 88 lawmakers voting in favor; 32, against; and 1 abstention.
The law will join the investigation departments of the Ministry of Defense and the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
Note, the chair of the commission ensuring the legal formation of the joint investigation body (operating since September) was Armenia's former general prosecutor, Aghvan Hovsepyan. It is expected that he will head the newly created body.
