Singer, Republican Party of Armenia MP Shushan Petrosyan called and apologized to RFE/RL Armenian service (Azatutyun) journalist Ruzanna Stepanyan, whom she insulted yesterday.
"Dear colleagues, Shushan Petrosyan called me a little while ago and apologized for what happened. She said she had no desire of offending me… We spoke for a long time… Indeed, neither I have anything against her, nor she, anything against me.
"Today was the first time we interacted in parliament; the interaction didn't turn out so well, but that's life, things happen. All of us at some point or another, for different reasons have an outburst — very often insulting and offending completely innocent people.
"What's important is that we realize our mistake, and we have the will to apologize to each other," wrote the journalist, Ruzanna Stepanyan, on her personal Facebook page.
Commenting on the post in Facebook, civil society activist Vardges Gaspari wrote: "Why do some people insult publicly but issue an apology not publicly?"
Recall, Stepanyan in parliament yesterday attempted to ask MP Shushan Petrosyan a question; however, the latter replied curtly: "You're immoral! You're all immoral."
