Head of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) parliamentary faction, Vahram Baghdasaryan (pictured), has a positive evaluation of the statement of the four non-ruling parliamentary parties, with which the Prosperous Armenian Party, Armenian National Congress, Heritage Party, and Armenian Revolutionary Federation presented their 12 demands to the ruling authorities.
"Probably, we can work with our opposition in an atmosphere of mutual trust. Armenia's opposition is gradually engaging in more constructive interaction," said Baghdasaryan, in conversation with journalists in parliament today.
According to the MP, HHK is acquainted with most of the demands, and HHK also sees that the issues, including the demands on the mandatory component of the pension, fines for traffic violations, and agricultural loans, are important for the Armenian public.
"We're happy that our opposition makes such healthy suggestions," he said.
Asked if the demands will be met by the September 2014 deadline, Baghdasaryan urged political parties not to speak with HHK using preconditions or ultimatums.
