Airfare tickets became more expensive about 15–20 days ago, reports local daily Haykakan Zhamanak. Companies selling airplane tickets informed the newspaper that the cost of tickets for the most popular flight, Yerevan-Moscow, increased.
A Golden Tour employee informed the paper that a return flight from Yerevan to Moscow now costs 150,000 AMD (about $367 USD) instead of the previous 98,000 AMD ($240).
A representative of another company said: "There was a certain price increase. For instance, we can offer a roundtrip ticket to Moscow for 133,000 dram [$326], which previously was 125,000 dram [$306]."
